The Minnesota Green Chemistry Forum is pleased to present their fifth annual conference, The Midwest Bioeconomy and Safer Products Summit: Regional InnovationsSolving Global Problems, at the Minneapolis Central Library on Thursday, February 19th, 2015.

THE CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS IS NOW OPEN!

Explore the link above for more details – topics proposed, deadline for submission, etc.

In its fifth year, the Minnesota Green Chemistry Forum's premier event has expanded its focus to the greater Midwest, uniting the traditional green chemistry and bioeconomy sectors.

Strong manufacturing, retail, and human resources, supportive policies, abundant forestry and agriculture resources, and solid industries, companies and innovation make the Midwest well-positioned to be a leader in the bioeconomy. The market for products that are safer for humans and the environment has been growing at a rapid rate based on strong consumer and business demand. This growth will have broad economic impact in the Midwest.

The Midwest Bioeconomy and Safer Product Summit will examine green chemistry, innovation and sustainability initiatives and will provide lessons learned from market pioneers on getting ahead of the regulatory curve via product and brand innovation and from business entrepreneurs on commercializing biobased chemical production. The Summit will also provide the networking necessary to thrive in this new era of consumer goods and will bring together academics and legislators with nationally recognized consumer brands, manufacturers, retailers, regulators and green chemistry experts to provide the timeliest information on the rapidly evolving state, federal and international chemical legislation landscape.

Join us at the 2015 Summit to gain the latest information and network with professionals in the following areas:

  • Safer consumer product manufacturing and retail
  • Sustainable supply chain logistics
  • Biomass feedstock production and processing
  • Chemical and workplace safety and education
  • Renewable energy and biobased materials innovation
